Mission Statement Critical in Establishing Corporate Direction

-- William Moen, Director/Public Relations

Sustaining energy and focus within an organization can be a challenge. Companies of every size have found that a simple yet powerful aid in meeting that challenge is a mission statement.

Creating the right mission statement – one that effectively articulates your company’s core values and goals – is well worth the effort. The exercise of thinking in these terms is itself useful. And once formulated, the mission statement provides guiding principles, enhances employee morale, and most importantly, sends a clear signal to clients, vendors and visitors that yours is a serious organization, dedicated to the highest business standards and having a strong sense of identity.

Many business owners and top executives think about formulating a mission statement but somehow never get around to doing it.

Experts in business communication for over 25 years, Michael J. Motto Advertising & Public Relations has designed a program to assist in accomplishing this task quickly and professionally.

First, we consult with you personally at length and review company materials that you provide to us. We then interview you and up to three others in your organization whom you designate. These interviews, scheduled at your company’s convenience, last 20 to 30 minutes each and explore perceptions of the company, its culture and its mission.

Working from the materials collected, we will then compose and submit to you an appropriate corporate mission statement. Once approved, we will produce the finished statement on high-quality "stock certificate" paper, which is framed and mounted on a mahogany plaque ready for display in your office or headquarters lobby. Many of our clients also include their mission statements in formal proposals, presentations and reports.

Could your company benefit from having a new mission statement? More and more companies are discovering the psychological and financial advantages of having an individually crafted statement – one that eloquently expresses their direction and values.
